Young Joo Song is one of Korea's leading jazz pianists. After graduating from Berklee College of Music and the Manhattan School of Music, she was able to quickly climb South Korea's jazz charts, earning multiple opportunities to perform with prominent American and Korean jazz artists.
Song's prompt rise in the jazz world has enabled her to record eight albums with distinguished labels such as EMI, Warner, and Sony. She has won numerous awards, including a Best Jazz Performance accolade from the 2012 Korean Music Awards for her latest album Tale of a City (2011).
Song has recorded and performed with numerous legendary jazz musicians, including Steve Wilson, Mark Turner, Gretchen Parlato, Kendrick Scott, and Marcus Gilmore. She continues to expand her love and knowledge of jazz, aiming to share her passion with audiences on a global scale.
