Hot off his European tour with Leela James, hot off their appearance on Jay Leno & Live with Regis & Kelly - hot off his appearance with Raul Midon at Joes Pub last month, and Midon's performance last night on Late Night with Letterman - "MILLS" is the next artist to hit the scene hard! Mills is scheduling sessions with Nik from Prodigy and being courted by several labels.

Akronight, ANTHONY MILLS - native of Ohio, now residing in New York City, is described by Harry Belafonte as one of the most influential artists of today. A poet, who narrates through visual art and music. Anthony Mills has from his soul, created Ghettotrance. A true original, Anthony Mills can be heard on his current CD entitled "CRY". This CD highlights the singer songwriters' unique style of music.


GHETTO-`TRANCE - Chanting socially conscious songs of love and struggle combined with various instrumentation to create an atmosphere for meditation. Many genre influences are represented in Ghettotrance. African, Classical, Rap, Reggae, Quwali, Soul and Spirituals. This creative style explores repetition both melodic and rhythmic, to trance listeners out.

Mills is featured on records with Leela James, Amy Weinhouse, Sizzla, Krs-One, Dead Prez & Maxi Priest and more.

"CRY" features some of the top producers and artists including Jason Moran (Blue Note), Producers- "Commissioner" Gordon Williams 2 time Grammy Winner - Lauren Hill "The Miseducation of Lauren Hill"; Santana - "Supernatural"; Belief - Jean Grae & C-Rayz Walz; Adam Deitch - Fire Department Crew (Soulive), M'Shell N'degerocello, Jon Scofield, & L.Caldwell (Mach 22). Also, includes mixes by Dave Dar - Talib Kweli, Dead Prez, Common & Mos Def; Commissioner Gordon, and Belief. Mills is also featured on Amy Weinhouse current CD.

Opening for Harry Belafonte, Anthony Mills silenced an audience of 9,000 with Ghettotrance versions of Stevie Wonder's "Village Ghetto Land" and "24," a Mills original, at BET's St. Lucia Jazz Festival.

Presently, Mills has toured 15 countries with Mr. Belafonte as a featured soloist, writer, mc and background vocalist. Anthony has also collaborated with Commissioner Gordon Williams, KRS-1, Dead Prez, Sizzla, Turbulence, Leela James, Amy Winehouse, Sly Dunbar and the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra as a soloist. Anthony toured extensively as a soloist with legendary Opera Soprano Grace Bumbry's Gospel and Spirituals Ensemble. Anthony went on to the Mozarteum in Salzburg Austria to study privately with Frau Bumbry. After completing his study of German lieder and Operatic Tenor arias Anthony made a commitment to his passion, his original compositions & Ghettotrance.
