Kate Davis

Cited as a "talent not to be missed" by the Herald Tribune, vocalist and bassist Kate Davis has played at some of the nation's prestigious clubs including Jimmy Mak's, the Blue Note, and Dizzy's Club Coca-Cola.

Davis's first national recognition came in high school for her bass playing and singing as a Silver winner through NFAA's YoungARTS program. Since then, she's also been the recipient of four DownBeat Magazine Student Awards, a double invitee to the Brubeck Summer Jazz Colony, and the bassist in the Grammy Jazz Ensemble. She was also selected as a Presidential Scholar of the Arts, an honor which included a White House visit and a performance at The Kennedy Center.

An ASCAP Foundation Scholarship winner, Davis has been featured at the Ringling International Arts Festival in Sarasota and at the University of Vermont as part of the Lane Series. She has been also heard on radio and seen on TV.
