|
AZIZA, formerly known as Linda Williams, is a pianist, singer/songwriter and arranger who composed the music to Natalie Cole’s song entitled LA COSTA. Aziza penned the lyrics on 4 of Ahmad Jamal's recorded compositions-Whisperings, Picture Perfect, It's only a Flower and My Latin. Aziza also wrote the words to Ray Bryant's classic song- Cubano Chant. Aziza has accompanied other singers such as Marlena Shaw, Linda Hopkins and Freda Payne. Aziza is currently performing with her band in New York City and when not performing, she is fulfilling the role as Musical director for Rain Pryor's show “Fried Chicken and Latkes” currently at the Actors Temple in NYC. Aziza's CDs Jazzsoetry Vol. 1 and V2 are available online. |
