Bold, free and uncompromising; Collette represents a new breed of independent artistry. And with the release of her third project of songs of life, love, and liberation on Juneteenth Revolution, Collette arrives. In 2008, Collette released her heartfelt debut Experience Collette to critical acclaim. Soon, she was opening for such national artists as Chrisette Michelle, Talib Kweli, Eric Roberson, Rachelle Ferrell and Noel Gourdin. Collette’s current project, Juneteenth Revolution, delivers an evolved sound produced by new talents like Okayplayer artist Danny Swain, Terry “20” Poindexter (Raheem DeVaughn, Jazmine Sullivan) and Aaron Hardin (Ebrahim, Kenny Wesley) among others. Incorporating elements of pop, hip hop, and contemporary R&B, Collette provides an eclectic but accessible collection of soulful jams ready for both Urban and Urban Adult Contemporary radio formats.
