This afternoon the Juilliard Jazz Ensemble will play jazz standards while exploring various grooves from Swing, Ballads, Bossa Novas, Odd Meters, Boleros, Calypso, Boogaloo, Sambas and more. Some of the composers whose music will be highlighted are Dizzy Gillespie, Bud Powell, Sonny Rollins, Dave Brubeck, Lee Morgan, Herbie Hancock and others. It will be a dance party on the band stand so come on out and join us.
