ABOUT LARRY CORYELL

Larry Coryell is one of the world's acknowledged guitar masters. He has recorded more than 75 albums over the past 40 years as a bandleader, soloist and 'featured accompanist'. Hailed by his legion of fans as one of "the guitar gods" in the late 1970s and as a "truly Renaissance musician who excels at all styles of playing," he has also been christened as "a true pioneer of rock-jazz fusion" by the New York Times, and dubbed "the Godfather of Fusion" by Dan Ouellette of DownBeat Magazine.

The late '60s through early '70s saw Larry as one of the most in-demand guitarists in rock, jazz and all musical genres. During that time Larry was part of rock's experimentation, and toured with Jack Bruce, and was featured in sessions with Jimmy Webb, the 5th Dimension, Charles Mingus, Billy Cobham, Chick Corea and John McLaughlin. Through the albums produced during this period, Larry Coryell emerged as a profound music prophet who merged rock, jazz, eastern modes and scales with free-form improvisation and flashing classical riffs.

In 1974 Larry formed The 11th House, the most popular and successful fusion band of its time, which included his friend and colleague Randy Brecker. After The 11th House disbanded, Larry was signed by Clive Davis for Arista Records, where he made a series of solo albums, followed by a direct-to-disc recording with the Brecker Brothers.

ABOUT KYLE EASTWOOD

As someone who has had a myriad of opportunities to shine, Kyle Eastwood has truly carved his own path as a musician and his bass playing and composing talents reflect the richness and diversity of his experience.

No stranger to jazz music, at a young age his father, film actor/director Clint Eastwood introduced him to jazz stars such as Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Dave Brubeck, Thelonious Monk, and Miles Davis.

Kyle began playing electric bass in high school, learning R&B, Motown, and reggae tunes by ear. After studying with French bassist Bunny Brunel, he engrossed himself in the New York and Los Angeles area jazz scene, and signed with Sony in 1998 where he released his debut recording From Here to There.

After relocating to Europe Kyle signed with Candid Records and released Paris Blue in 2004. This recording climbed to No. 1 on the French Jazz Charts.

His third recording Now (Candid) was released in 2006 and features songs written by Ben Cullum as well as a who's who of musicians from the London jazz scene. His live performances have been met with sold out venues and critical acclaim across Europe, Asia, and North America.

Kyle has composed or arranged seven of Clint Eastwood's latest films including Mystic River. Million Dollar Baby, Flags Of Our Fathers, Letters from Iwo Jima, Gran Torino, and Invictus.
