Dessy Di Lauro delivers a unique flavor of original music she describes as "Feathered Frohawk Futuristic Art Deco-Centric Harlem Renaissance Hep Music," with an up-tempo live show incorporating classic elements from the speakeasy era.

Di Lauro's life story has always been about overcoming adversity, from being bullied as a child due to her interracial background to surviving domestic abuse as an adult. Today, she has grown into a woman of depth and integrity who shares her experiences through music in order to help others who are going through similar trials.

Di Lauro's latest EP, Jump N' Jivin': Live @ The Swing House, was released in 2010. After a successful Blue Note debut this past May, tonight, she returns with her stellar band and horn section featuring musicians from the current Madonna touring band also performing at Yankee Stadium this weekend with the Queen herself. Expect nothing less from Di Lauro than a high-caliber, modern-day juke joint jamboree from this unique neo-ragtime and contemporary R&B artist.
