The Statesmen
FEATURING:
Jonah Smith, keyboards & vocals
Josh Dion, drums & vocals
Scott Metzger, guitar
Ben Rubin, bass

The Statesmen are a band of NYC scene veterans that update the sound of the British Invasion and meld it with classic soul. The dual lead vocal approach of keyboardist Jonah Smith and drummer Josh Dion is reminiscent of Sam and Dave or The Band, and on stage they have live-wire energy as they trade verses and sing harmonies. Guitarist Scott Metzger and bassist Ben Rubin, both monster players with long resumes, round out the band.

Since their inception, The Statesmen have played shows opening for Los Lobos and have headlined several shows in NYC. Their eponymous debut album, released earlier this year, is being played on influential radio stations like WFUV in New York, and the record is gaining substantial traction in Japan, where it has been featured in Tower Records locations across the country.
