Led by bassist Ryan Berg, cPhour is a jazz quintet that puts its own innovative spin on modern jazz, blending a host of influences ranging from John Coltrane, Miles Davis, and Branford Marsalis to James Brown, D'Angelo, and Erykah Badu. In addition to Berg, the members of the quintet include the adroit young saxophonist Stacy Dillard, the in-demand guitarist Craig Magnano, the groundbreaking pianist George Burton, and the fiercely passionate drummer Jeremy "Bean" Clemons. All of these musicians lead prominent solo careers of their own and boast impressive resumes.
In addition to his work with cPhour, Berg has collaborated with many world-renowned musicians, including Lenny White, John Scofield, J.D. Allen, Seamus Blake, Rodney Green, Eric Lewis, Ravi Coltrane, Helen Sung, Justin Brown, David Berkman, Jeff Coffin, Roy Hargrove, Logan Richardson, George Garzone, and Vincent Gardner. |
